Hi there! I’m Jana, a professional fine art and wedding photographer who blends photojournalism and creative portraiture to create meaningful, artful images for you.
Before I specialized in weddings I was primarily chasing landscape images. Today, I adore exploring parks and private farms looking for unique settings to photograph your wedding day and engagement session. I first enjoyed using my camera while exploring landscapes, attempting to tell the story of where I had just been. The beauty of nature continues to inspire me as I capture the story of your wedding day.
I founded Jana Scott Photography in 2008 while working as a gallery manager for a very talented photographic artist, named Bill Coleman. I immediately had clients and I'm so grateful for their trust to create so many inspiring, authentic, and heartfelt images over the years.

My husband Allan and I have been married for over 10 years. He is my best friend and I love him so much more now than the day we were married. We recently have been blessed with a little girl who we named Brynn. Allan is a Christian recording artist and travels with his band and ministry, Found & Favored. I spend my weekends either at weddings, with Brynn, or at an arts fest selling my fine art body of work.
If you find yourself at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts in July, do stop and see my booth on Allen St. After having Brynn, I haven't yet resumed traveling to juried shows around the country but I am getting restless for a drive to Chicago...

My daughter and husband are at the top of my list!! Some of my other favorites include good friends, elegant handcrafted things, purposely creating art, reading 5 books at the same time, gardening, fresh flowers in my house, cooking (and eating great food, especially the eating part), riding horses, and learning new things. I also love to explore, whether it is the woods or a new town. And, I have a special passion for rescuing and repurposing antiques.

Jana photographed our wedding in September 2014 in PA and I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. She was exceedingly professional, organized, thoughtful and accommodating. My husband and I live overseas and Jana was flexible enough to work with us over the phone or email leading up to and after the wedding date. During the planning phase, she thought of details that hadn't even crossed our minds, saving us time and hassle down the road. On the day of the wedding she arrived at the venue several hours before the ceremony to plan out all of the locations for photos so that everything went smoothly and we got the maximum amount of time with our guests afterwards. We didn't know what we wanted at all in terms of photography and completely relied on Jana's suggestions and artistic vision. Jana takes pride in the quality of her work and will go the extra mile to make sure her clients are satisfied. We couldn't be happier with the results and we love our photos! I would recommend her to anyone.

Words cannot even begin to describe how pleased we are with our experience with Jana.
