Hi there! I’m Jana. I’m a full-time award-winning wedding and fine art photographer who blends photojournalism and creative portraiture to create meaningful, artful images.

I enjoy finding beauty in everything! Some of my favorites include good friends, elegant handcrafted things, creating art, reading, gardening, cooking (and eating great food), riding horses, and learning new things. I also love to explore, whether it is the woods or a new town. And, I have a special passion for rescuing and repurposing antiques.

My husband Allan and I have been married for almost 10 years! He is my best friend and I love him so much more now than the day we were married. We have been recently blessed with a little girl who we named Brynn. Allan is a Christian recording artist and travels with his band and ministry, Found & Favored. I spend my weekends either at weddings, with Brynn, or at an arts fest selling my fine art body of work. Because most weekends Allan and I are in different places and family time is important to us, we take time off during the week to be together.

I first enjoyed using my camera while exploring landscapes, attempting to tell the story of where I had just been. The beauty of nature continues to inspire me as I capture the story of a wedding day. ” social=”” ][/flo_one_third]

What does blending photojournalism and creative portraiture mean? It means being able to capture emotions that can tell your story in a real and beautiful way. Training my eye to be a keen observer of beauty in the simple things has helped me develop a photographic style that evokes lasting emotion.

My goal for every wedding is to capture images that my clients can look back on, frame them, or hold them in an album, share them with children and grandchildren, and the images emit the same emotions they felt at that exact moment in time.

My sentimental soul wants you to remember and cherish the rich relationships that surrounded you on such an important day. I want you to feel the hugs from your loved ones, see the looks of love, and remember your wedding day through my images.

It’s very important to me to get to know you as a couple and connect on a personal level. A connection with you allows me to truly tell your story. Equally important to me is working with you to create tangible mementos you will enjoy long after the wedding day. Printing your photographs is the next step in my role as your photographer. Regardless of whether it’s an heirloom album or a wall gallery of archivally matted prints, I still believe in printing, holding, and viewing these memories in fine-art presentations. I take great care in crafting images for you and the same care in printing your images so that they will last for generations.

It takes a lot of your time and energy to achieve a creative vision of your wedding day and I want to work with you to make the process of integrating beautiful photography as easy as possible. Before your wedding, we will have several meetings (at least two) to talk through your plan for the day. I always help my clients craft a timeline that meets their vision beyond the photographic sessions so that they can relax, enjoy the day, and just be themselves.” social=”” ][/flo_one_third]
