Let’s start with a rambling of MY personal values…
I value marriage, especially mine! Marriage is a foundation that emotionally healthy families can be created on and I value family time. Commitment in marriage has brought tremendous stability to my soul and I have learned that I value committed people and commitment from people. Marriage takes honesty to survive -without it you may be missing out on the freedom to be yourself. Our marriage has made it possible for us both to pursue our passions and make our dreams realities; I love encouraging others to pursue the same. Your spouse may offer strengths in areas of life you may be weak; I value others strengths because I have plenty of weaknesses…so I thank God that I have Allan.
Now for a bit of rambling on MY creative motivations for being a wedding photographer…
The dynamic nature of a wedding day is a so exciting for me! When speaking from an artists’ point of view, I would say that each wedding day is a “subject” that has a unique set of moments that can only be realized when the day is in motion. This is a dream job for me, endless emotion filled moments all begging to be captured. That’s why I offer full day coverage and why I really don’t want to miss a moment. When I switched from photographing weddings with film to digital cameras, it became even more thrilling to share my creative perspective. All of the darkroom techniques became faster and more precise. Additionally the ability to enhance my images became fun and well fun! With my first digital images I spent hours with each image because I was all so new and exciting. Now when editing my wedding images I relive each wedding day and smile the whole time!! I capture the love I see at weddings and create art with it after weddings! I LOVE MY JOB!!

Moments I adore…
I love the way light gets caught in her veil.
I love the way he can’t stand still before the ceremony.
The way he tucks his chin as he stands waiting for her at the front of the aisle, seeing her for the first time.
When the new couple seems to effortlessly float down the aisle after their ceremony.
Wait -who am I kidding trying to write the thousands of moments that I love! Gahhhh
