It’s a Tinder tale as old as time. When Steve and Becca both swiped right, their virtual courtship began. After a year of talking on the phone, they finally met in person at the Sheetz on Pugh Street of all places! They took a long walk around the Penn State campus chatting and finally enjoying one another’s company in real life and as it turns out, the rest is history.

The morning of their wedding day, Steve and his groomsmen had a very low-key hangout with food and brotherly bonding while Becca and her bridesmaids got ready in matching robes from Etsy. They all wanted to conserve their energy for the dancing later that night!

If there could have been a more perfect wedding day, I can’t imagine it!

Steve and Becca had a joy-filled wedding day with just the right amount of sentimental goodness. Becca grew up attending the State College Presbyterian Church, where the ceremony was held. The couple felt truly blessed for the chance to get married surrounded by loved ones. The Centre Hills Country Club was the perfect setting for a reception full of fun. When choosing a venue, they fell in love with the view of Mt. Nittany. Becca’s family home is at the base of the mountain.

Becca and Steve decided to do a first look before the wedding ceremony and they both really loved that moment together. It took a lot of the pressure and nerves away from that moment when Becca walked down the aisle, leaving pure excitement in its place. The first look also reduced the time of post-ceremony pictures so the newlyweds could join the cocktail hour which is always a plus!

“We were able to enjoy an intimate moment away from the action to appreciate what we were there for, each other!”

In the moments just before walking down the aisle, Becca was excited to turn the corner of the church and see all their favorite people. “Seeing everyone there to watch us take the next step in our relationship was really neat,” Becca shared. It’s a wonderful feeling when people show up to support you simply because they love you.

At the reception, the groomsmen made a grand entrance wearing royal blue tracksuits and the room exploded in laughter and applause. During one of the toasts, Steve’s nickname was revealed…Tinder Steve! The room erupted yet again. Steve and Becca had an incredibly fun day that was overflowing with love and joy, as every wedding should be.

“I don’t think I will ever forget that feeling of being surrounded by so much love.”

Advice from Becca to future brides:

Do everything exactly how you want it. Regardless of what you choose, someone will have an opinion, so just do what makes you happy!
