centre hills country club wedding

state college, pa

IF there could have been a more perfect wedding day, I can’t imagine it! After Steve & Becca’s super fun Fall engagement session, I knew that their wedding would be a joy-filled day with just the right amount of sentimental goodness. Becca grew up attending the State College Presbyterian Church and getting married surrounded by loved ones was very important. They choose Centre Hills Country Club for their reception because they fell in love with the view of Mt. Nittany that Centre Hills has. Becca’s family home is at the base of the mountain.

I’ve asked Becca & Steve to share a bit about their wedding day in their own words…

How did you meet?

TINDER! We talked/texted for a year before meeting in person. When we finally met it was at the Sheetz on Pugh St. we then walked around campus for a long time talking.

Aside from Jana: During one of the toasts…Steve’s old/new nickname was revealed…Tinder Steve. And the room roared!

What did the Groomsmen do before getting ready?

“The groomsmen enjoyed a quiet morning of food and visiting before getting ready. It was very low-key. They needed to conserve their energy for the dancing later that night.”

What was your favorite part of the day?

“We both really loved the first look. It allowed us an intimate moment away from the action to appreciate what we were there for, each other! Also took the pressure off of the procession and reduced time for post-ceremony pictures so we were able to join the cocktail hour”

What do you remember from the moments right before you walked down the aisle or waited for her to arrive?

Becca- I was excited to turn the corner of the church and see all our favorite people there to watch us take our next steps as a couple. Such a neat thing to have everyone show up from all over because they love you.

Steve- I am really glad that we did the first look because it took a lot of the nerves away from that moment and left pure excitement.

How did you feel at the end of the night?

“Amazing!! The day was such a whirlwind, but the whole time we were just overflowing with love and joy. I don’t think I will ever forget that feeling of being surrounded by so much love.”

Now that the planning is over- what advice would you share with a couple currently planning?

“Do everything exactly how you want it. Regardless of what you choose, someone will have an opinion, so just do what makes you happy!”
